How To . . .First download the file by clicking the image to the left of the filename to a temporary location (eg \TEMP) or Do not double click on the file image, instead right click on it and choose "save target as". Alternatively use a download manager such as Go!Zilla.
As some of the files are quite large I suggest that you get a download manager. One of the best available is Go!Zilla. With Go!Zilla you will be able to download part of a file and then resume the download at a later date. Aureate Go!Zilla is free and you can get it from Aureate Go!Zilla Monster Downloads (free version) from Aureate Media.
All files are compressed as ZIP-files, or are self-extracting (EXE-files).
How to uncompress a single file with the file extension .ZIP. Enter the directory where the zipfile is located that you wish to decompress and type: pkunzip filename.zip. To re-create subdirectories, and to place files into their original subdirectories, the -d option must be used with PKUNZIP ® version 2.04g. An example: pkunzip -d filename.zip.
How to uncompress a single self-extracting file with the file extension .EXE. Double-click: [temporary location]:\filename.exe from the Windows ® Program Manager. The file will expand the installation files. Then open the File Run Dialog Box and type in the dialog box the command that will run the setup or install program. Run setup or install if there is such a file and follow the instructions on your screen, but install into a different folder from that you used to the download.
After you have uncompressed the file, use Notebook or Write to read the readme-files, which belongs to the program and contains a description of how to install and use the program.
