Hotel Ravnsborg's Saloon
Orchestra, Conductor H. Wolmér. /
Hotel Ravnsborgs Salonorkester, Dirigent
H. Wolmér.
The expression is risen
as a private family description used on musical programmes
where Helge Wolmer Andersen for the use of the family put
together a musical programme consisted of pieces of music from
radio and gramophone. The name is founded on their address in
Ravnsborggade in Copenhagen, "Hotel" resulted from
when a cousin came home too late in the evening at his address
and was not let in and where he then came to them in order to
get permission to stay overnight, "Saloon" because
his father were the owner of a hairdressing saloon,
"Conductor" was added because Helge Andersen liked
to conduct and "Wolmér" was a French sounding
version of his middle name. The expression has later after the
change of address to Bagsværd been renamed to
Skovkilden's Orchestra. /
Udtrykket er opstået som en privat
familiebeskrivelse brugt på musikprogrammer, hvor Helge
Wolmer Andersen til familiens brug sammensatte et musikprogram
bestående af musikstykker fra radio og grammofon. Navnet
er bygget op over deres bopælsadresse i Ravnsborggade i
København, "Hotel" opstod, når en
fætter kom for sent hjem om aftenen til sin bopæl
og ikke blev lukket ind, og hvor han så kom hen til dem
for at få lov at overnatte, "Salon" fordi hans
far havde en frisørsalon, "Dirigent"
tilføjedes, fordi Helge Andersen kunne lide at dirigere
og "Wolmér" var en franskklingende udgave af
hans mellemnavn. Udtrykket er senere efter flytning til
Bagsværd omdøbt til Skovkildens Orkester.
