Clock back and forth / Uret frem og tilbage
By Daylight Saving Time (DST) in Denmark clocks are set: / Urene stilles ved sommertid i Danmark:
The first time Daylight Saving Time (DST) was introduced
in Denmark was in 1916 during World War I (1914 - 1919).
The second time was during World War II (1939 (Denmark 1940) -
1945) and in the years that immediately followed - 1940 to 1948.
The third and last time was in the summer of 1980, when
Daylight Saving Time (DST) was introduced as we more or
less know it today (2011). Because from 1980 to 1995 inclusive
Daylight Saving Time (DST) in Denmark stretched from last Sunday
in March to last Sunday in September. /
i 1916 under 1. verdenskrig (1914 - 1919). Anden gang var
under 2. verdenskrig (1939 (Danmark 1940) - 1945) og i
årene, der fulgte umiddelbart efter - 1940 til 1948. Tredje
september.
Starting in 1996, the summer time throughout the European Union (EU)
has been from the last Sunday in March to last Sunday in October. About
70 countries have now (2011) introduced the system. /
oktober. Omkring 70 lande har i dag (2011) indført ordningen.

(Danish word:) HFI breaker; an earth leakage breaker
which interrupts the flow of current by errors in the alternating current in
the normal household wiring; HFI circuit breakers have been replaced
by HPFI breakers since 1991 in Denmark at installing ground fault
circuit interrupters in dwellings; HFI is short for high-sensitivity
fault current (I denotes the electric current) = HFI relay switch
HPFI breaker
(English word:)
Earth Leakage Breaker (ELB), Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB); Nowadays,
ELCBs have been mostly replaced by Residual Current Devices (RCDs). /
højfølsom fejlstrøm (I betegner elektrisk strøm) = HFI-relæ
HPFI-afbryder
(Engelsk ord:)
Earth Leakage Breaker (ELB), Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB);
Residual Current Devices (RCDs).
(Danish word:) HPFI breaker; a ground fault
circuit interrupter that cuts power both by errors in the alternating
current in the normal household wiring as the error in smooth flow of
household appliances with built-in electronic control, such as washing
machines; HPFI is short for high-sensitivity pulsed fault current
(I denotes the electric current) = HPFI relay switch
HFI breaker
(English word:)
Residual Current Device (RCD), Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB);
In the United States and Canada, a Residual Current Device (RCD) is
also known as a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI),
Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI), or an Appliance Leakage Current Interrupter (ALCI).
In Australia they are sometimes known as "safety switches" or simply
"RCD" and in the United Kingdom they can be referred to as
"trips" or "trip switches". /

Residual Current Device (RCD), Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB);
I Amerika og Canada kaldes en Residual Current Device (RCD) også
for en Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI), Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI)
eller en Appliance Leakage Current Interrupter (ALCI). I Australien er
smoke alarm; an alarm device which is actuated by smoke. /
Daylight Saving Time (DST); a period each year where all the clocks
are set forth an hour compared to standard time so you can better
utilize daylight hours; the period is going from some time in the spring
to later in the autumn; time system, there is one, rarely two hours
ahead of a place's zone time; used in several countries in a part
of or the whole summer half to take advantage of the daylight during
longer evenings
winter time; Daylight Saving
Time (DST) was introduced in Denmark in 1916, 1940-48, and again
by annual regulations from 1980-1995, and from 1996 following
the rules that applies to the European Union (EU). /
vintertid;
Sommertid var indført i Danmark i 1916, 1940-48 og
igen, ved årlige anordninger, fra 1980-1995, og fra 1996
følges reglerne gældende for Den Europæiske Union (EU).
winter time; a period each year where all the
clocks are set back an hour to standard time
Daylight Saving Time (DST);
widespread but misunderstood term for the concept of
"Standard Time"; the right term, Danish Standard Time
or Central European Time, is not so widespread. /
stilles en time tilbage til normal tid
sommertid;
udbredt, men misforstået betegnelse for begrebet
"normaltid"; den rigtige betegnelse, Dansk Normaltid
eller Mellemeuropæisk Tid, er ikke så udbredt.
standard time = zone time. /
normaltid; = zonetid.
zone time; a time that are common to areas located in
the same of the 24 time zones that the earth is divided
into; this time differs from Greenwich time by a whole
number of hours in relation to the different
geographical longitudes = standard time. /
time zone; any zone on the earth, within which there is the same
zone time. The earth is divided into 24 time zones. /
samme zonetid. Jorden er inddelt i 24 tidszoner.
Central European Time; mean solar time of the meridian 15°
east of Greenwich, 1 hour ahead of GMT. Standard time in Scandinavia
and many countries south of Scandinavia. /
mellemeuropæisk tid; middelsoltid for meridianen 15°
øst for Greenwich, 1 time foran GMT. Normaltid i Skandinavien
og mange lande syd for Skandinavien.
Greenwich: eastern district of London on the south banks
of the Thames. Greenwich Hospital was from 1705 home for
invalids from the British fleet and from 1873 naval school,
the Royal Naval College. At a hill lies Greenwich Observatory,
founded 1675, from where a daily time signal is displayed
at 13 o'clock by a falling ball and through which the
zero meridian, used in the geographical longitude location,
goes; the geographical longitude calculation based on Greenwich
rests on an international agreement of 1884. The observatory itself
moved 1948 to Herstmonceux, Sussex. Its buildings now houses
the Maritime Museum, which also includes Inigo Jones' famous
mansion from 1635. Greenwich was originally a village surrounding
a Tudor castle one hour's journey from London. /
London.
GMT: Greenwich Mean Time; the time on the prime meridian,
which passes through the old Greenwich Observatory in London.
Formerly used as an international standard time, including in
maritime and aviation. Is now replaced by UTC, the universal
coordinated time, which is determined by atomic clocks with
greater accuracy than the earth's rotation. The difference
between the former GMT and UTC are - by the introduction of
"leap seconds" - never more than one second. /
GMT: Greenwich Mean Time, Greenwich middeltid; klokkeslættet
på nulmeridianen, der passerer gennem det gamle
Greenwich-observatorium i London. Anvendtes tidligere internationalt
